This is the story of the Bible-God’s relationship with people.

Written by Alan Atwood.

The Heart of God is revealed as He creates people, falls in love with them, loses them and then must come to earth Himself to pay the penalty for their sins. A dramatic “walk through the Bible”, the play draws the audience into a deep experience of God’s great desire to be known by the people He’s created.

The play was designed to communicate the basic truth of God’s Word to someone who has never read it, but also speaks eloquently to believers about God’s love and long suffering.

Modeled after “Traveling Light”, 12 modern characters appear to play out the great events of the scripture in a modern and often humorous way.

Who is Morning Star Productions?

Eastbrook Drama has changed its name to Morning Star Productions. The group opened its first season of plays in October 2006 with a performance of "Beyond the Chariots", the story of Eric Liddell’s missionary work in China. This was the first offering of the company’s three play season, performed at Eastbrook Church. Rich Swingle from New York performed the one-man play.

Rich Swingle will again come to Morning Star Productions in October for our first play of the season: "The Acts"

Tickets for this play are now on sale. Morning Star is encouraging church and bible study groups to attend by offering a group discount for groups of ten or more. Prices for groups range from $7 to $11 per ticket. All of the plays will be performed Thursday,Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 and Sunday afternoons at 2:00 at Eastbrook Church, 5385 N Green Bay Avenue.

Alan Atwood, Drama Pastor at Eastbrook Church, is excited about the multi-faceted Morning Star Productions. Says Atwood: "We’ll be producing not only Christian plays but short videos for churches to use in worship services. These media can be very effective when used under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We chose the name Morning Star because we want to produce art that is under the spotlight of the ‘Light of Men’".

Our first video production is the story of a man who discovers on Christmas Eve that his wife is divorcing him, and through the counsel of an ex-Navy SEAL, finds truth and hope in Jesus Christ.

" The Acts" brings to life the miracles and wonder of the first century Church as God's Spirit empowers His people.

Rich Swingle who last year presented “Beyond the Chariots”, will return to perform this one man tour-de-force of the book of “Acts”. Swingle will take us back to the time of Paul’s early ministry as the early church struggles against all odds to hear the voice of the Spirit of God and turn the world upside down.

You won’t want to miss it.
