Who is Morning Star Productions?

Eastbrook Drama has changed its name to Morning Star Productions. The group opened its first season of plays in October 2006 with a performance of "Beyond the Chariots", the story of Eric Liddell’s missionary work in China. This was the first offering of the company’s three play season, performed at Eastbrook Church. Rich Swingle from New York performed the one-man play.

Rich Swingle will again come to Morning Star Productions in October for our first play of the season: "The Acts"

Tickets for this play are now on sale. Morning Star is encouraging church and bible study groups to attend by offering a group discount for groups of ten or more. Prices for groups range from $7 to $11 per ticket. All of the plays will be performed Thursday,Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 and Sunday afternoons at 2:00 at Eastbrook Church, 5385 N Green Bay Avenue.

Alan Atwood, Drama Pastor at Eastbrook Church, is excited about the multi-faceted Morning Star Productions. Says Atwood: "We’ll be producing not only Christian plays but short videos for churches to use in worship services. These media can be very effective when used under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We chose the name Morning Star because we want to produce art that is under the spotlight of the ‘Light of Men’".

Our first video production is the story of a man who discovers on Christmas Eve that his wife is divorcing him, and through the counsel of an ex-Navy SEAL, finds truth and hope in Jesus Christ.
